1/2 court stencils for your home basketball court can be an excellent way to encourage your kids to play outside more.  However, they don’t have to be just white as is often the case.  Why not spruce it up a little in order to have some fun.

In this particular case of the photo above I painted the lines in the kid’s school colors of blue and white.  You’ll notice the 3-point line is blue with the key in white as well as the hash marks on the key in blue.  You’ll notice in the video below I did a little more in that it’s a red, white and blue theme.

The possibilities are endless and, quite frankly, very fun to think about and plan.  I cannot tell you how happy kids are to play on their freshly painted court, especially if it has a theme to it.

  1. What do you think the best portable basketball hoop to get under $1000 for a teenager who loves basketball

    • Hi Tommy,

For $1,000 you can get a very nice inground basketball hoop which has a far superior play to it than any portable system. For that price, I would recommend you going in that direction. If that’s not an option due to neighborhood restrictions or something of that nature, I tend to like the Spalding portable systems.
